I was just wondering if anyone here has read the new Shirley Book that has come out recently called "SHIRLEY TEMPLE: A PICTORAL HISTORY OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST CHILD STAR." My friend told me about it almost as soon as it came out and I am glad he did, the book is very well done. It contains many rare photos of Shirley during her most popular years while she was at Fox up until about age 12. The pages are large and printed on good paper and the book can be bought in hardcover or paperback. It even includes a section on dolls and collectables, but Tonya's book does a better job of that. What really sells this book is the many rare photos of her and little intresting stories. It is a must have for any fan of Shirley, you won't be disipointed!!

Hey I saw that book on a website and was wondering where you bought it. I've tried bookstores but no one seems to have any Shirley books. Did you have to order it offline?

My local bookstores also didn't carry it What I did was, I asked them if they could possibly get it in special order for me, which they did! If you ask your biggest bookstore to check for you, they might be able to ship it in to their store and call you when it is ready for pick-up. You can also order it online from many sources. Try Amazon.com

One bookstore that carries it is BARNES AND NOBLE. They have it in either the MOVIES section of books or in the BIOGRAPHY section. So be sure to look in both areas.
The BARNES AND NOBLE near me has it in the BIOGRAPHY section.
The book is hardcover only. the retail price of it is $29.95 in USA.

Its very nice! Rita knows more about Shirley Temple than probably anyone else in the world, she gave a presentation on SHirley at the 2002 Shirley convention that was absolutely incredible...the book is so pretty, and since she is a graphic designer by trade, she also put it together so that it really is a coffee table book...whenever a book isn't at the bookstore, just ask at the front desk, and they will order it for you:)

I just picked up the book from my bookstore and it is definitley a must have! It has amazing pictures I've never seen before and a lot of Shirley memoribilia from around the world. I used to be a big fan of Rita Dubas Shirley Temple item of the month website and her books is even more incredible!

Yes, it is an adorable shot of her. The back cover shows a shot of the back of her head with all her curls ;D
