The series that started it all keeps on going in 2014 with the latest iteration of the Nike Free 5.0+ 2014 moving forward with a revised take on the Dynamic Flywire build from this current generation. The new 5.0 Frees use a knit sandwich mesh for superior ventilation, no-sew overlays to keep it light and a revamped sole pattern that is more like a honeycomb than the traditional quadrilateral units.
Despite being a new model arriving in a year of celebration for the Nike Free category, the Nike Free 5.0 has been just a little bit quiet as of late. Then again, the model is much more of a performance one than most of the pairs that you see in these pages, so they are not so prone to the special edition releases. Shown here is an upcoming pair that wears atomic mango and turbo green, with the latter equipping the full length of the Free treatment on bottom.
