This summer I went to Disney World and they have a picture of Shirley hanging up at Pop Century Resort. Not exactly news but I wasn't sure where this would fit in!

Hi Jan!!! Since Shirley presented Walt Disney with his Oscars, one big one and seven tiny Oscars, at the 1938 Academy Awards and Disney studios also produced the Child Star movie(2001) , it would be appropriate for her picture to be there. Shirley was said to be Walt Disney's inspiration for the Snow White character,back then. I believe Tonya mentioned this ,on her other forum. Shirley hugs,Beve

Thanks for all the info! I saw in Toyna's book that the Shirley Temple mold was even used for Snow White dolls. Shirley was a popular gal!

wow, coolie i didn't see that when i went but i also had a 7 year old cousin pulling me around
but i did go on this movie ride i was sad that they didn't have a set of one of her movies but at the end they showed clips from a bunch of different movies and baby take a bow was one of them

yeah i was pretty disappointed with that ride too. they had a whole wizard of oz scene if only shirley had been in that movie! i was so happy when i saw the clip at the end tho i was screaming so excitedly at my friend lol.
