Greetings. Newbie here and have to say I was thrilled to find your forum. Thank you for having me.
My brother just gave my mom a beautiful photograph of Shirley for Mother's Day. He found it at a yard sale outside Philly. The photo itself is about 11X14 and it's matted and framed. Shirley appears to be around 10 years old in this picture.
The most interesting part of the photo is the inscription. It's to a Jean Sandheim and is signed by what appears to be Shirley's autograph. Yes, my mom and bro had out every book my mom owns on Shirley to check this siggy.
Just was wondering if anyone would know if this Jean Sandheim was a real person. The photo may be a test shot as it's not lighted real well, and Shirley's capped sleeves are a bit askew. I combed the net trying to find anyone by that name and tried different variations but to no avail. Any and all info would be most appreciated. I look forward to sharing some of our dolls. We have some Elke Hutchin's Shirley's and I have an Ideal myself. Again, thank you.

If you have a picture of the autograph - I can tell you if it is authentic...shirley has a very distinct autograph...
