Does anyone know about a Movie called THE PIRATE PRINCESS. I have a large Composition doll of Shirley Temple with a round base which has on it the name of the movie. She is dressed as a pirate. I was once told it was a movie her father rejected her to do. Would appreciate any information. Thank you, Judy

Don't have any Temple films at home, but I can't confirm about it...

Hi I don't know where to post this I hope the original poster doesn't mind that I have added yet another doll to hopefully get info on. I have a vinyl shirley. It says: 1974,IDEAL TOY CORP.,ST-14-N-213 (NO HONG KONG). She is wearing her original outfit:Stand up and Cheer. Never been played with, in original box (Poor shape. Box says: No. 3P-0572. 1973 Ideal Toy Corp, Hollis N.Y. 11423. She has been donated to be in a silent auction being held for a Children's Shelter in Florida. I want to be able to describe her properly and have a range of value. Please help. The auction is at the beginning of Feb. All I can find is dolls with HONG KONG on them and the year 1972. She doesn't have sleepy eyes. She has an open mouth. I appreciate your knowledge. thanks, Kim

Judy: I have never heard of that movie before... can you remember your source and post a picture of the doll? EDIT: Okay, I google'd The Pirate Princess and the only thing close I could find was a movie made in 1944. If sure was to be in such a movie, it certainly didn't get past the talking stage so their most likely would not be a doll made for it. You could have a prototype doll though. ________________________________________________________ Kim: Next time you should probably start your own topic instead of posting in a topic someone already made. Anyways, could this be the doll? www.shirleytempledolls.com/identify/resultshandler.php?size=16&headmarking=1984+CBS+(or+similar)&backmarking=view+all&type=VinylIf not, a picture would really help.
